Google apps work very well. Overall resource usage runs around 470-500mb default which compares very favorably to KDE. Overall performance is excellent and I was running it on a Dell Latitude E4310 which is a first generation Intel i5 at 2.53ghz, with 8gb of ram and a 128gb sata ssd. Except for the Synaptic issue where the icon is missing and the app wont authenticate(see troubleshooting for more) no issues with software nor hardware. As an everyday use distro its a great experience and offers something other distros do not.
