I hope that I am posting this is the right section.
Just wanted to introduce myself.
I have been a Linux user since 2000 --- (can it be 22 years ago ? ) - sigh
In my time - probably like so many here - I became something of a 'distro-hopper'
I probably kept CD/DVD makers in business for a decade at least.
Anyway - one of the outstanding distros of the time was Freespire.
So when I heard that it had been re-resurrected I had to look into it.
I can only say - I am glad that I did.
Freespire (gnome -ed) - is now my main driver.
It has to be one of the most polished and easy to use - distro's out there.
Everything simply works - & - there is very little that I needed or wanted to install.
I can't thank you guys enough.
Cheers

it's funny that it is a surprise that it works, and good i think my first linux was 'corel 4.0' something, back in around 97, book i picked up from the library with a cd Specifically I recall that setting the swap partition to be at the middle of the disk was important for performance, /root, swap, /home (or some odd multi partition nightmare, lol) now i don't even bother to set a swap file, just one / partition (or two, i have 2 distros on main ssd, for hopping)
