It has been many years since I used Linspire on any computers and I was totally shocked to see that it was returning in a new capacity. I got my copy free on December 24, 2017 and put it on my one Dell laptop and it has been on it ever since. I only had to do some minor tweaks and add the programs I use that weren’t already there. It has been stable and rock solid and I would recommend it to anyone that wants an easy great looking Linux distro to use.

I’m sad that I missed the Christmas giveaway, but I’m more than happy to support this distro with a yearly subscription because it is such a solid distro. It’s back to the future with Linspire/Freespire.

Glad to see that there's interest brewing - spread the word, let's keep it going! Trying to get more people to try it. Been posting positive comments on any youtube videos I come across . Been also putting people in their place when they are posting negative/wrong things about Linspire/Freespire. I used both in their original form years ago. Maybe a Linspire/Freespre Google + group and a telegram group would help get the word out too.

Hi Everyone! It's great to see Linspire and Freespire available again! I just found out today that you all had brought back my favorite distro. I am one of the "Lifetime Linspire Insiders" from many years ago. I even had a "Lifetime CNR Warehouse" membership too at one time. But, of course as we know, we lost everything when Xandros took over. I must admit, I truly bought into the Linspire idea and just loved the company. Even talked with the old management team about opening a Lindows office on the East Coast of the USA at one time and working there. MR wanted to do this or at least he made it seem like he wanted to at the time. I had a lot of fun with the Insiders and remember when we were discussing the slogan: "Linspire, the World's Easiest Linux." I told both MR and KC that this wasn't true and told them that I thought that the slogan would be best if it was stated as "Linspire, the World's Easiest Desktop Linux." Which it was at the time, however, I was using server versions of other distros that were much easier to deploy than Linspire. I still have my Linspire coffee mug with the slogan proudly displayed on it and still have it at work. I may still have a lot of my old distro releases, some only went to us Insiders as well. Some broke my computer! It was fun testing this and helping to get it ready to deploy. How do I get back in? Thinking that Linspire/Freespire was gone for good, I think that I tossed out all of my paperwork that I had but I may still have some e-mails! I am wishing you all the best and can't wait to have an updated Linspire PC here at the house.

Hello everyone! I am a lifetime Insider as far back as Lindows 4.0. I am extremely delighted to see Linspire and Freespire available again. I didn’t think I’d ever see Linspire again. I know Ray tried to keep the spirit of Linspire going, and sadly, I lost contact with that community about a year ago when the computer I had then died. Now that I know Linspire has been resurrected, I am going to see about ordering a laptop with Linspire pre-installed. I have a lot of fond memories of the old days of Lindows/Linspire and the conversations we had in the community. I remember when I first tried Lindows, the screen resolution was too large and someone helped me by walking me through the installation of ED (text editor) and how to use it to modify my screen resolution to the correct one. I was hooked ever since, and a few days after that, I was able to help someone else who had the same resolution issue I had. Forgive me if I’m rambling. The Linspire community back then was always friendly and helpful, and did not put anyone down for not knowing how to do something, but took the time to help and were very patient with those they were helping. I don’t know if anyone else from those days is still around. I was known as “RevJack” back in those days, too. Anyway, I am very glad Linspire is once again available!
