Ok guys, so we have just about wrapped up KDE so that the ISO will be available around the same time as XFCE. Its a pretty solid release but as with all releases it does have a few bugs. Some of it has to do with the installer, so lets go over some of the installer issues:
1. The Installer still has some Kubuntu branding - Yes we are working on a new installer based on the old Linspire installer. We expect that to be ready by Linspire 8 and Freespire 4.
2. When you boot from GRUB dont try the install directly from GRUB it will fail halfway through copying files. Click on "Try Linspire" and install it directly from the desktop.
3. The Software Stores, XFCE uses GNOME Software, KDE uses Discover. We will be changing that later as we want a standard App store. Our commercial repository will be done in July as soon as we finish license negotiations. Linspire CUSTOMERS will get access to the repository, Freespire will not.
So we have a few exciting milestones coming up.

Will there be some commercial offering in the store? Namely, I use lightworks for video editing, it uses proprietary nvidia driver really well for video playback and exporting. It's very good software. It would be nice to have a large selection of proprietary software to shop for.

Having experienced the KDE version of Lin/Freespire I would have to use it for longer to get to like it. Linspire is full of reminiscence and I find I'm more comfortable with Linspire.
