I was pleasantly surprised to discover that MailSpring email client installs without any issues on both Linspire and Freespire. In both instances I used GDebi package installer to install the available .deb pkg available on MailSpring website along with the necessary dependencies.
For those who are unaware, MailSpring is a fork of Nylas mail client (which has now stopped development).
